Built on Real Experience, Not Just Theory
We started sagacitynet because we kept seeing the same problem: businesses drowning in budget reports but still surprised by their actual spending.
Back in 2019, our founder was consulting for a mid-sized manufacturer in Taichung. They had beautiful spreadsheets, detailed forecasts, and monthly meetings. But every quarter ended the same way—confusion about where the deviations came from and what they actually meant. That's when we realized companies didn't need more reports. They needed better analysis.
Start a ConversationHow We Actually Work
Most financial consultants hand you a report and call it done. We think that's backwards.
Our process starts with your actual data—messy, incomplete, whatever state it's in. We've worked with companies tracking expenses in three different systems and others still using paper receipts for half their purchases. Doesn't matter. We meet you where you are.
The analysis part? That's where we spend our time. We're looking for patterns that explain why actuals diverged from plans. Sometimes it's obvious—a supplier raised prices. Other times it takes digging through months of transactions to find the real culprit.
One client discovered their "temporary" 15% cost increase from Q2 2023 never got reversed. Nobody noticed because reports only compared month-to-month. We caught it because we always look at longer trends.

What Makes Our Approach Different
We Explain, Not Just Calculate
Variance percentages are meaningless without context. A 20% deviation might be perfectly fine in one category and catastrophic in another.
We dig into why numbers changed. Was it volume? Price? Timing? A one-time event or a new trend? Each deviation gets categorized and explained in plain language.
- Break down each significant variance by root cause
- Separate operational changes from market factors
- Flag patterns that suggest deeper issues
- Provide context based on industry standards

Monthly Reviews That Matter
We don't believe in quarterly surprises. Our clients get monthly check-ins focused on what changed and what it means for the next period.
These aren't hour-long meetings. Usually 20-30 minutes walking through key movements and adjusting forecasts if needed. The goal is staying aligned, not creating more work.
- Focused review of material variances only
- Updated forecasts based on actual trends
- Early warning on developing issues
- Clear action items when needed

Real Tools, Not Proprietary Platforms
You won't need to learn our custom software or pay licensing fees after we're done. We work in Excel, Google Sheets, or whatever tools you already use.
The deliverables are yours to keep and update. We build templates that your team can maintain without needing us for every monthly close. Though many clients keep us around because they value the outside perspective.
- Analysis models built in familiar tools
- Documentation so your team understands the methodology
- Training on how to maintain and update reports
- No vendor lock-in or proprietary dependencies

What Drives Our Work
These aren't corporate values we put on a poster. They're the principles that shape how we actually operate with clients every day.
Clarity Over Complexity
Financial analysis can get complicated fast. We fight the urge to show off technical skills and focus on making insights accessible to everyone who needs them.
Honest Assessments
If your budget process has fundamental problems, we'll tell you. Sometimes the answer isn't better analysis—it's rethinking how you plan in the first place.
Practical Solutions
We recommend changes you can actually implement. No reorganizations requiring six months of change management. Real improvements that fit your current structure.
Long-Term Thinking
Quick fixes rarely last. We design processes that keep working after the engagement ends and build your team's capability to handle analysis internally.
Local Understanding
Working with Taiwan-based businesses means understanding local tax structures, reporting requirements, and business practices. We speak the language—literally and figuratively.
Continuous Learning
Every client teaches us something. We stay curious about industry trends, emerging tools, and better methodologies. That knowledge gets shared across our client base.
Who You'll Actually Work With
Small team, deep expertise. We keep it that way intentionally. When you work with sagacitynet, you're getting senior people on your account—not junior analysts learning on your data.

Linnea Ekström
Senior Financial Analyst
Linnea joined us in early 2022 after eight years doing variance analysis for multinational manufacturers. She got tired of producing reports nobody read and wanted to focus on work that actually influenced decisions.
She's the person who'll dig into your data and find the story behind the numbers. Clients appreciate her ability to explain complex variance drivers in terms that make sense to non-finance people.
Before financial analysis, Linnea worked in supply chain operations. That background gives her insight into operational causes of budget deviations that pure finance people often miss.
Areas of Focus
Our Commitment to Clients
Financial consulting has a reputation problem. Too many firms promise transformation and deliver templates. We're trying to do this differently.
When we take on a new client, we commit to actually understanding your business. That means time upfront learning your operations, your challenges, and your goals.
We also commit to realistic timelines and honest feedback. If something isn't working in how we're delivering analysis, we want to know immediately so we can adjust.
Direct Access
You get direct contact with the analyst doing your work. No account managers or project coordinators acting as middlemen.
Flexible Engagement
Monthly retainers, project-based work, or one-time deep dives. We structure engagements around what makes sense for your needs and budget.
Knowledge Transfer
Every engagement includes documentation and training. Our goal is building your internal capability, not creating dependency on us.
Working With Us in 2025
We're currently taking on new clients for Q2 and Q3 2025. Our capacity is intentionally limited—we turn down work rather than compromise quality.
Initial consultations are free and typically last about 45 minutes. We'll look at your current budget process, discuss specific challenges, and determine if there's a good fit.
If we move forward, most engagements start with a diagnostic phase. Usually takes 2-3 weeks to review your data, understand your process, and identify where analysis can add the most value.
From there, we build a custom approach. No standard packages or fixed methodologies. Every business has different needs, and your analysis framework should reflect that.
